Frequently Asked Questions...
How do we work together?
1) First, I will review the details of your project to ensure I can produce the highest quality translation. If so, I will send you an agreement that details the terms of service.
2) Once I have received the signed agreement and any necessary starting payment, I will begin researching the subject matter and its terminology. This will help me get a sense of your business and its intended message.
3) In most cases I will need to ask questions before beginning the translation so that I am clear on our project objectives. Normally having open communication with clients produces optimal results.
4) I will produce a minimum of two drafts of the translation before editing and having the final copy proofread.
5) I will then deliver your translation in the format of your choice on time and within your budget!
Times and deadlines
For most texts I can translate an average of 2,000 words per day. However, the exact time frame will depend on how complex (or simple) your particular project is.
Once I have had an opportunity to review the scope of the text I can better discuss if we can meet your project’s deadline.
How much will it cost?
My strong recommendation is for you to complete my short translation request form, then I can give you a more accurate and competitive price for the services.
With that in mind, my general pricing is based on your projects format, size, urgency and complexity within a negotiable range of 9-15 cents/word. I generally prefer to charge 'by the line' for German texts and 'per word' for Greek texts.
*Extra charges are applied for weekend and off hours work.
Payment methods
Payment terms and methods will always be agreed upon in writing prior to the start of each project. Most currencies can be accepted via the following transfer methods.
• Direct bank deposit / direct bank transfer *(My preferred method of payment)
• Wire transfer
• PayPal.com
* For some projects and new clients, a deposit may be required. A deposit invoice stating all project and payment details will be issued for this purpose.
